gs_reaction (input.materials.gs_reaction)

Gas-Surface Reaction terms in mass balances. With only single species reactions the molar reaction rate "dn_(i-s)/dt" for the gaseous (G) component "Gi" and surface "s" is calculated as "dn_(Gi-S)/dt = sfact_i*k_(Gi-S)*A_S*(f_i)^(B_i)" where "n" is a molar amount "k_(Gi-S)" is a reaction rate constant for the gaseous component "Gi" and the surface "S" (see "pars"), "A_S" is the area of surface "S", "f_i" is the fugacity of component "i", "B_i" is the reaction order for component "i" (see "pars") and "sfact_i" is a safety factor for component "i". When Gas-Surface consumption is used to model Aqueous-Surface consumption set "k_(Gi-S) = k_(AQi-S)*k_H" where "k_(AQi-S)" is a reaction rate constant for the aqueous component "AQi" and the surface "S" while "k_H" is Henrys constant. Reaction rate constants and Henrys constants are temperature dependent.
parfile str - None Path to the reaction parameter file. When specified the "pars" attribute is ignored. The reaction order and Arrhenius parameters used to calculate the prefactor must be specified in the "parfile" file.
sfact CompDict NCMP Ones/flwsour Safety factor multiplied on the reaction rate prefactor. Values that are less than unity reduces the consumption.
pars GSR1SPars - .gsrpar1s Reaction parameters. Only used if "parfile" is not specified. "pars" is assumed identical for all reactive materials. For more flexibility see "parfile".

borefluid (input.pipestr.borefluid)

vol_water vol% float - None Volume liquid water in the bore relative to the total volume. If "vol_water" is not specified the bore fluid is used without changes. If "vol_water" is specified the water will be added to the bore fluid to match the specified value at Tstd and Pstd.
use_db_comp bool - None If "True" the composition in the specified database or json fluid for the bore is used. If "False" the composition in "comp" will be used (normalized).
fluid_sha str - None SHA code for retrieval of the fluid from the fluid database application (not yet implemented)
fluid_path str - None Path to the json file containing the bore fluid to use
db_fluidno int - None The bore fluid index in the fluid database. If "use_db_comp" is "False" the database fluid should contain the same components as specified in "comp". The bore fluid determines the EOS unless a nonperm fluid is specified

The composition in the fluid database will not be used. If the default value is used in combination with the default value for "db_path" EMTPIPE automatically selects the annulus template fluid. EMTPIPE can only automatically select the annulus template fluid if the permeating species comprise H2S, CO2, C1 and H2O. If other components permeate the user has to create and specify the annulus template fluid database and fluid number.
